Makeup Artist

The demand for perfection now - It’s almost too much. I have a ton of respect for the women I work with.
— Mary Phillips

"I never considered being anything else, this is what I truly love to do." - That innate passion cultivated a career Mary Phillips has been training for her entire life.

Whether rummaging through her mother's products as a little girl, or acting as the resident cosmetics “guru” during neighborhood dress up sessions, Mary's role was clear. She grew up telling everyone she was going to become a makeup artist, and now Mary Phillips is one of the most sought after in the industry.

Attending cosmetology classes while still in high school, (and makeup courses after graduating), Mary later worked in a dermatologist’s office- garnering more knowledge about one of her signature passions, skin. After being mentored by makeup veteran Eugenia Weston, Mary’s natural born talents eventually grew into working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Mary’s refined execution and attention to detail leave a memorable mark of high amped sophistication all her own, continually rendering followers and makeup fanatics wanting more, while simultaneously catching the eye to some of the biggest beauty editors and brands in the world as both an expert and an influencer.

Her client roster has grown to include Bella Hadid, Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian West, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Gwen Stefani, Shay Mitchell, Britney Spears, Salma Hayek, Christina Aguilera, Ciara, Nicole Richie, and Jennifer Lopez.

The innovative and evolving looks that Mary’s known for have graced the covers of Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, and ELLE.

Mary Phillips currently resides in her native state of California, in the city of Los Angeles.

Hailee Steinfeld Goes to the Oscars

Hailee kept her hair and makeup relatively simple and still managed to look ridiculously stunning, opting for a major smoky eye — one that practically extended all the way to her gloriously full brows.

What's in my Bag

La Mer Lip Balm: “I love all things La Mer, and have become addicted to this! Scrubs, Chapsticks, Medicated Products of all sorts and organic varieties... This stands up against all of that, so don’t suffer sticker shock too badly because the proof is in the pudding and this works.

How to Glow Like J-LO

Don’t glide over skin prep: “I really focus on it, almost as much as the makeup,” said Philips. “It’s your canvas and your base, so you have to respect it and take the proper time to achieve the look that you see on the [red] carpet.
